While we don’t define our faith from any single confession, there are a number of historic definitions of faith that are important to us. These include the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed.
Anglicanism creates a wonderful space for what we call “Big Tent Christianity.” Throughout history, Anglicans have forged a middle way between Protestant and Catholic. Valhalla Parish continues to be home for many from across the theological spectrum who are seeking to connect with and by transformed by our encounters with the God of beauty and mystery who we encounter in Jesus Christ.
It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that within this parish community, you’ll find a diversity of views, perspectives and backgrounds. We all come from different places and with different experiences that inform how and what we believe. We have encountered God in a variety of ways. Centered on Christ, our community is finding ways to be in healthy relationship with one another, and to embody divine love, across our differences.
